In my older work, the glass architecture symbolizes imaginary places like Heaven,  the dream world we travel through in Sleep, and events occurring on a galactic scale like the birth of stars. In the past I have personified the awesome forces of nature, storms, winds and whirlpools as the face of The Goddess. The addition of figures / torsos and more complicated portrait totem assemblages further contextualizes this new “Tree Spirit” series to form short metaphysical narratives.
